Obtained an MA degree in International Studies from Birzeit University, Palestine. My MA thesis focused on the rapprochement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) after the 2006 Palestinian legislative elections. I worked as a part-time lecturer at Birzeit University, where I taught courses on International Relations; in addition to my research and administrative work at the Forced Migration and Refugee Unit (FMRU) at the same university.
My current research interest revolves around issues of refugees and forced migration in the middle east; with a special focus on the impact of forced migrants on the identity of the state, mainly the case of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. I joined many training courses and summer schools, most notably the summer school of the Refugee Studies Center (RSC) at the university of Oxford; and the winter course of the Center for Migration and Refugee Studies at the American University of Cairo (AUC).
